The 12th Solanaceae Conference (SOL2015) took place in Bordeaux, France, from 25 to 29 October, 2015.
The event carried on from previous SOL conferences and address the latest scientific researches on the Solanaceae, ranging from biodiversity, genetics and plant development to breeding.

SOL – Conférence internationale sur les Solanaceae

SOL est la grande conférence internationale annuelle consacrée aux recherches sur les Solanaceae, une famille de grande diversité qui comprend plus de 3000 espèces de plantes dont des espèces majeures pour l’alimentation humaine comme la tomate, la pomme de terre, l’aubergine ou le piment.

La conférence SOL est organisée tous les ans depuis 2004. L’objectif de SOL2015 est de réunir l’ensemble de la communauté scientifique contribuant aux avancées considérables en génomique des Solanaceae et à l’utilisation des connaissances générées dans de nombreux domaines, tant pour répondre à des questions de biologie fondamentale que pour améliorer les espèces cultivées et les adapter à leur environnement.

SOL – International Solanaceae conference

SOL is the International Solanaceae conference convened annually since 2004.  The Solanaceae or nighshades display large diversity and include more than 3000 plant species, among which major crop species such as tomato, potato, eggplant and pepper.

The objective of SOL2015 is to gather together members of the Solanaceae scientific community which contribute to the recent and considerable advances in Solanaceae genomics and use this knowledge to further our fundamental understanding of plant biology and to breed superior crop varieties well adapted to their environment.
