Oral communications and Posters

Oral communications

Authors who wish to make an oral presentation are expected to be physically present in Nantes. In case traveling to Nantes will not be possible for a speaker at the time of the meeting, the presentation could be given virtually (prerecorded, video call for discussion). Oral short presentations must be prepared to fit within a 6 minutes talk (+4 minutes for questions), and format your slides for a 16:9 screen. For oral presentation you must prepare a PDF file (6 min presentation= 6-8 slides), and transfer to https://premc.org/wrc2021/. Name your presentation file : session_number.first_author.pdf  , example: O24.martins.pdf

In case traveling to Nantes will not be possible for a speaker at the time of the meeting, a video recording of the talk (6 min) has to be prepared, as described by PremC website.

Posters

Posters will be displayed on a virtual platform. No traditional poster session with physical posters to avoid crowds. At the Cité des Congrès in Nantes, the posters will also be displayed on a screen and discussed in front of small groups of people. Poster must be prepared for a 16:9 screen. 

You shall send a PDF document in portrait layout with a 16:9 aspect ratio. You shall name your presentation file: poster_session_number.first_author.pdf and transfer to PremC, as described by PremC webiste  https://premc.org/wrc2021/.

To make your poster talk, available for all participants and to better explain your study, you are invited to prepare a short video record of your poster talk (3 min maximum), using Zoom, as described by PremC website https://premc.org/wrc2021/.

  • Registration will only become effective on the date we receive your payment and not on the date of your registration. Registration will be confirmed by email.

Visitors to Cité des congrès can use the Wi-Fi network. Smoking is forbidden in indoor public areas, workplaces, bars, restaurants, coffee shops and nightclubs. The Annual Meeting is a smoke-free event and smoking is not permitted at the meeting venue.

COVID-19 specific instructions from Cité des Congrès de Nantes

You must present a health pass to access to the Cité des Congrès. See the following link for non-European nationals entering France and non-European students. You can apply for a COVID Certificate if you were vaccinated abroad. You can also find relevant information on the France diplomacy website

As responsible actors in event organisation service, Cité des Congrès focus will continue to be on protection of our visitors. We stay on the alert, ready to follow instructions of competent authorities. On site, we have developed specific measures regarding the situation:

  • A procedure of COVID-19 situation management is written and ready to be activated from central control station, which is the hotspot of crisis management activation.
  • An isolation room, to handle sick people
  • A display in main entry points to inform people about precautions to take to block the virus
  • The deployment of disposable hydroalcoholic solutions
  • The distribution if necessary of masks, handled by central control station and security manager of the site.

 Be sure that the whole Cité des Congrès team is rallied for this event to happen under the best possible conditions.

Welcome Reception, Lunch and Gala Dinner

Welcome Reception (included in registration fee)

All participants are kindly invited to attend welcome reception. During Welcome Reception which will be held Wednesday 3th immediately after the round table discussion we would like to give all participants the opportunity to meet friends, old and new, while enjoying in snacks and drinks served  at catering area of the mezzanine area at the cité des Congrès de Nantes.

Gala dinner

The Gala dinner  will take place thursday 4th at the Château de la Poterie. The gala dinner is sponsored by CLIPP

On the gentle shady banks of the Erdre, the Château de la Poterie will host the gala evening of the 12th WRC in an exceptional setting.  The former stables, the former outbuildings of the Château, the exposed frameworks with century-old beams and the old-fashioned Loire stone fireplaces offer charm and elegance.
